Sample lyophilisation protocol provides high success rates

Drying HPLC purification fractions, principally comprising water and acetonitrile, is a routine yet essential task in many pharmaceutical laboratories. The requirement is to dry the samples to a powder form, such that samples can be accurately weighted, easily sub-sampled and redissolved. Genevac’s SuperCool 75 condenser chills to -75°C and when combined with the HT-12 High Throughput Evaporator, improves results for the LyoSpeed lyophilisation methodology for preparing powdered samples from HPLC fractions. Even the most difficult to handle aqueous/organic solutions have success rates as high as 96 per cent. Genevac Ltd.
