One of the most prevalent non-O157 Shiga toxin-producing E.coli identified is O121. Isolating E.coli O121 from other E.coli strains using conventional methods is challenging because it is not biochemically unique. To solve this problem, Lab M has launched Captivate O121, a new product in its immunomagnetic separation range that detects and isolates this particular strain in samples from food, animal feed, beverages, pharmaceutical or environmental samples.
