Temperature-controlled vortexers are suitable for applications such as denaturation, restriction digests, slow thawing of samples and growing bacterial and yeast cultures. Benchmark Scientific’s MultiTherm is available with heat only or with both heating and cooling options, and interchangeable blocks for tubes from 0.2 ml to 50 ml. It has a small 8×11-in. footprint, and programmable speed, time and temperature settings. Temperature control ranges from 0°C to 100°C, and vortexing from 200 to 500 rpm.
