Some laboratory applications have weighing needs that exceed the capabilities of most laboratory-scale balances. Ohaus has three new models in its Explorer Series that range in capacity and readability from 12 kg to 35 kg x 0.1 g. They are sturdier than others in the same series and have additional features like a 5.7-in. colour VGA touchscreen that can be separated from the base, sensors that allow for hands-free control and adjustable rolling feet. Motorized draftshield doors—constructed with anti-static glass—offer expansive side entry, and spacious top entry is provided through a frameless, flip-top door that also slides open.
