Environmental regulations in many parts of the world now limit sulphur content in petroleum-based fuels, and this has spurred the development of more sensitive instruments to detect and analyze the element at low concentrations. Rigaku’s Micro-Z ULS sulphur analyzer is a benchtop wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF) instrument that measures both the sulphur peak and background intensity.
