Changes in pressure, temperature and humidity can impact outcomes in the lab. The new Omega Z series wireless sensor system provides Web-based monitoring that enables key personnel to be alerted immediately via e-mail or text message if environmental conditions change. The wall-mountable devices can be set to keep track of temperature, relative humidity and barometric pressure via the Web, making them suitable for remote facilities. They transmit up to 300 ft.—without obstructions—to a coordinator that is connected to the Internet using an Ethernet cable. Omega Engineering Inc.
